Blom's reaction to losing with his AA in pre

I’m sure many people have been wondering where their favorite degenerate has been lately. After all, it seems when Isildur1 has money to his name, he will not leave the tables until it is all gone or he can no longer stay awake. However, even with his overall profits on Stars of over a million dollars at the tables, and his salary and sne earnings to go along with his score for over 1.2 million at the PCA super high roller event this year, he has been mostly absent lately, even missing out on the Zypherin games. But have no fear, as Isildur1 has not given up on poker or gone nitty on us. He has simply been focusing in on another goal of his that he discusses in his only known English interview, which is to win an EPT event this year. Blom has been playing most of the EPT events and with the EPT season coming to a close next week, he made sure to play in all of the big ones. He began by playing the EPT Berlin main event day 1b on April 18th and continued on before busting out very late on day 2. He then moved on the very next day to play in the high roller event. He ran and played pretty well, managing to make the final table of the €10,000 event, which began play today. Blom’s chances looked good, as he entered the final table in 2nd out of the remaining 9 players. However, his luck ran a little short as Marvin Rettenmaier, Isildur1′s crippler, recounts for us on his twitter. Rettenmaier got in JTss vs Blom’s AA preflop and managed to suck out. Blom was hurting for chips and soon after busted out in 7th. Of course, knowing Blom, the €29,700 consolation will likely do little for the frustration he is undoubtedly feeling. He reflected this feeling by showing up online with his 30k in winnings and promptly dumping it all in only 9 hands this afternoon.

The EPT is in its busiest time of the year

His anguish will have to be short-lived however, as he needs to be ready to go again tomorrow in the EPT €100,000 super high roller event taking place in Monaco. A good showing here should erase the “grrr” feeling from Berlin as the winner will likely take home over a million Euros. With the strength of the Euro at the moment, that would equate to about 1.3 million USD. This tourney only headlines a onslaught of 37 events taking place at the Monaco EPT finale. Who knows which events Blom will choose to play but we can be sure he will at least take on the €10,000 main event, and €25,000 High Roller event. With all this action taking place live, it will likely be at least another week before we see anymore extended online sessions from Isildur1.
